Do you support the fight to end discrimination and expand protections? This is your chance to show it! As a community we fight for equal rights to guarantee and expand social justice to every individual! Those with gender dysphoria face a continued struggle for protections and are discriminated against too often, sometimes through violence. Individuals who we have lost through violence are always in our mind and in our hearts, it's time that we remember them publicly and spread awareness to end this violence that exists.

Join the Jamestown Pride Society on Saturday November 21st as the Identity and Expression Group leads the "Transgender Day of Remembrance" walk in Jamestown, NY. As we travel together through the city remembering those we have lost with gender dysphoria, we show visible strength, visible togetherness, visible inclusion and we demonstrate hope. Support our family, friends, neighbors, brothers, sisters and our community by joining us!

The walk will commence from outside the Jamestown Savings Bank arena at 5PM and we will journey down 3rd street meeting at Tracy Plaza, Jamestown City Hall to conclude. We will hear from Jamestown Pride Society Identity and Expression Group Leader Lorri Johnson (also the Jamestown Pride Society Vice President), minister to the LGBT community Rev. Lee Allen Howard, Jamestown Pride Society President Jason Perdue as well as several individuals within our community and YOU CAN ALSO SHARE YOUR WORDS AS WELL, IF YOU'D LIKE!!! DRESS FOR THE WEATHER, THE WALK HAPPENS RAIN, SNOW OR SHINE! BRING A CANDLE TO HOLD DURING THE WALK TO REMEMBER THOSE WE HAVE LOST! After the walk, we will choose a meeting place for coffee.
