Transgender Services
PERSAD CENTER is an ally and caring provider for individuals who do not fit into society’s expectations of gender presentation or identity. We recognize the struggle to live fully while under pressure to conform in a world of binary sex/gender. We offer information and affirming counseling to individuals who are seeking to transform their lives to their authentic gender presentation or identity.
Our specialized transgender counseling services include opportunities for gender evaluation, individual, couples, group counseling, family education programs, and referrals. We work with a network of compassionate professionals to assist clients with legal services, primary medical care, hormone treatment, and cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
PERSAD also serves as an advocate for gender-non-conforming people who have experienced discrimination.
